BBQ Turkey and Veggies

I had left over
BBQ Turkey Breasts
I planned to do
a type of pulled turkey sandwich
but decided it wasn't going to work
how I wanted it to
I cut up the turkey
some onion
and some beautiful peppers
added a jar of BBQ sauce
and cooked this at 350
in the oven until it was bubbly

we were running low on veggies
and didn't have salad fixings
so I just cut up some random items
so go with dinner

I served this on left over rice
with the cut up
veggies, apple, pickles and cheese

This was a fast
and easy way
to use up some leftovers
and some veggies
everyone really enjoyed this
even little Lily
she thought it might good
keep dreaming cat!

Turkey Soup

Turkey soup
it brings back memories
of growing up
Sunday lunches after church
at Grandma and Grandpa's
so many fond memories

Turkey Soup
you don't mess with it
that was hard for me
I kept thinking of different
things I could add to it
but
I kept it pure
I kept it simple

celery
onions
garlic
carrots
brown rice
left over turkey

chop it up
throw it in the soup pot
I added a bay leaf
some salt and pepper
and a chicken bouillon cube

add enough water to cover it
simmer it for a few hours
then spend time admiring your family
they are a wonderful gift

call everyone for dinner
I always serve Turkey soup
with Saltine Crackers and butter
pickles to munch
sliced cheese just in case
don't question
just go with it
you just don't mess with turkey soup
ohh the goodness

Turkey Burgers

Neufelds had a sale on Turkey
so I decided, YUM, burgers
in my food processor I diced up
one large onion
organic carrots

a few handfuls of spinach
some organic garlic
organic zucchini
organic basil

added an egg to hold it together
some salt and pepper
some worshishire sauce
and made me some patties

I fired up the BBQ
slapped on my patties
added some sliced zucchini to the Q
and made up a salad

we added all the condiments
with lettuce
tomato
basil
grilled zucchini
pickles
on fresh buns from a little deli

these were good
but not great
they need to be spiced up a bit
but I will be making them again

we added to our family
a little kitty
because it seems I don't have
enough animals
or enough stress

I want to ask for you to pray for my friend Helen, who I mentioned in my previous post.
She starts her Chemo treatments tomorrow. I know that she really appreciates every ones prayers and needs them.
