Linklove

I have come across
some fantastic blogs
but I often forget
or misplace the link
here are a few you
should take the time
to visit
what can I say
she's great
and hosts
Menu Plan Monday
check out her
link love today
it was thru
the Organizing Junkie
that I found
I so wish I
had more money
to make all her projects!
If you have not heard of
and you enjoy cooking
you need to go there now
also
both are yummy
they will lead you to some
new sites to explore
I think those will keep
you busy for a bit!
Enjoy

Linklove

I had a nice post all planned
written in my head
some great pictures
and some cute things to say
my wonderful husband
helped me clean up today
and I don't know where he put my camera
so I can't blog about my cute post
I'll have to keep you waiting

in other news
my son now refers
to himself in the 3rd person
it cracks me up
I don't have a clue
where he came up with that

I'll leave you with some links today
I'm new at blogging
and I really have no clue
most of the time
what I'm doing
over at Crystal & Co.
she is sharing some good info
from a conference she attended
check her out
she has a fun blog
I enjoy reading

We are all sick over here
coughs colds
it's that time of year
I make this strange concoction
a homemade cough and cold syrup
I found it over at
The Keeper of the Home
a wonderful site with some
good natural remedies
and other natural resources
I have learned a lot from her
and she lives in
my neck of the woods
oh, ya, my kids
love the cough syrup
and it does seem to help them

and finally
my last link for you
I'm trying this tonight
I hope anyway
to have with our breakfast
I'll take pictures
if I can locate my camera

Gift Giving

I struggle with buying gifts
I'm not a shopper
I strongly dislike trying to decide what to get
I think giving cash or gift cards
is a cop out

I have ended up giving
cash and gift cards
that is if I remember to get them at all
I'm terrible
I'm a few gifts behind for birthdays
I carry a lot of guilt over this

I also think in our society
we have too much
I don't NEED anything
I find most anything I want to get
for someone else
they generally already have it
I also worry if they will like it or not
I would prefer to not
buy or get gifts

In saying these negative things
about gift buying and giving
I'm actually 3/4 done
my CHRISTMAS shopping
WOW
I decided this year
I was going to buy things
that were not only gifts to my people
but they benefited others as well

Love Guatemala
they have items they are selling
from Guatemala
some beautiful handmade items
when you buy there things
you are also supporting their ministry
these are gifts I can feel good about giving
the pictures I posted here
are just a sample of what they have
if you are interested in buying or checking out
what they have available you can contact
Love Guatemala
Let me just tell you
the coffee......you will have nothing better

Other than gift shopping
my little girly was helping me cook today
or rather she was taste testing
and my food was good
according to the girly anyway

my little man was getting lessons
on building airplanes
by his dad
it was so sweet to watch

this week has been tough
kids are fighting
screaming
biting
yelling
and seem to not have listening skills
it's emotionally draining
however
I remind myself that this
is normal
my kids are not extra good
at being bad
I've been praying a lot
as I'm sure you can imagine
let me just say
if you are a mother of more than 2 kids
you are my hero

Have a great Wednesday night all!

Ashley over at the happy little homemaker has posted the sweetest video in support of breast cancer research. Check it out and check out her blog also!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Husband and I are last minute taking off to the big city for a night with out kids! I'm dropping the kidlets off at my sisters for a night, getting a hair cut and then we are helping out at a booth at Missionsfest for a few hours and then off to a fancy pants hotel that a kind soul gave me a free night for, very much looking forward to it! And we are hoping to get to go to Samba's for a dinner, super cool place to try out if you enjoy meat; served to you on swords and carved off onto your plate! I'm sure my hubby will have the ostrich again! ewww
