Simply Delish - Mexican Taco Soup

I really enjoy the Farmers Markets
you can always find some unique products
and local small business'
that you may not normally hear about
I picked up such a product a few weeks ago
and tried it tonight

Mexican Taco Soup
from Simply Delish Soup and Salad Co.
a very local company
I was impressed with the selection
Soups, Salads and Sides
I didn't have to much time
at the market to talk to the vendor
with both my kidlets not wanting to stand around
but I have explored their website

the additional ingredients were simple
however, the instructions
said to brown the beef
I'm against double cooking
if using the slow cooker
I really think it defeats the purpose
I don't know if I would have bought this
if I had read the instructions closely
I broke the beef up
and added it raw
then used a potato masher
to break it up more
in addition I added the wrong
can of tomatoes
stewed instead of diced
so the masher worked on those also
the instructions did not indicate
if the corn should be drained or not
I didn't drain it
I'm a rebel

I cooked this for 4 hours on high
my house smelled wonderful
this was REALLY REALLY good
I will try something again
when givin the chance
if you live locally
check out their website
it will let you know where you can find
Simply Delish Soup & Salad Co.

Here is our dog, Chance
come back tomorrow
I'll share with you my adventure
in making my homemade dog shampoo
OHHHH AHHHHH
the excitement
Chance is trying to decide
if he should bolt or not
he's not a fan of baths
even with my special shampoo
